Somewhere along the way, I picked up several tole painting books. This is one of my favorite artists, Nina Owens. And my favorite subjects are fall holidays. This large soft cover book has 78 pages of full color items to paint for the fall and winter holidays. There are scarecrows, and plenty of Halloween and Christmas designs too.

This paperback book is just a riot. I finished it because I couldn't stop reading it. The book covers graffiti found in restrooms in the stalls of the BIG TEN Colleges. The Authors' note reads, We did it for truth. Underneath that, it reads, Truth flies like an arrow. Fruit Flies like a banana. And it just gets better. There are 146 pages of bright and witty graffiti.

Underwater Education by Albert A. Tillman
I am always buying unusual books. This one dates to 1962 but is in its 10th printing of 1970. It is a basic text of scuba and skin diving from 40 years ago. Even though, I don't dive, I enjoyed reading about it. There are lots of cutesy pictures and it is very easy reading. There are 149 pages.

How to Learn Astrology - Marc E. Jones
Once upon a time, I believed that I couldn't start the day without reading my horoscope. I followed it to the letter, too. Now, though I don't quite adhere that strictly to the advise it gives, I still do read it. This paperback book was written in 1941 and revised in 1969 by Marc Edmund Jones. It is a nice compendium of information on the signs and how to read them.
