1974 Better Homes Gardens After Work Cookbook This hardback cookbook doesn't appear to have ever been used. But that is no fault of the recipes. They are just as timely and tasty today as they were 30 years ago. This cookbook from Better Homes and Gardens is a hardback with lots of full color illustrations. These are quick recipes with lots of taste and variety. There are 285 recipes in 112 pages.  

1980 Pillsbury Sweet Success Cookook This vintage cookbook states that it contains desserts that taste like you spent the whole day baking. And looking at the recipes, I would have to believe that this is true. There are 46 pages of sweet treats like the frosty mint pie on the cover and the frost on the pumpkin cake. You can't go wrong even if you just look at the gorgeous color pictures.  

1969 Shortcut Cooking Cookbook This fabulous paperback cookbook has some of the best tips I have ever found for shortcuts in the kitchen. These are the types of shortcuts which don't decrease taste! On the cover is a canned ham with a divine cherry sauce. There are 47 pages of super drinks, meals and desserts. The book has lots of color pictures and easy-to-follow recipes.  

1984 Fleischmann's Bake-it-Easy Yeast Book This full color paperback cookbook was put out by Fleischmann's of the Rapidrise yeast. This is a definitive baking book, perfect for the holidays and year round. There are great hints and clear instructions to insure a successful endeavor. There are 71 pages of great recipes, lots of pictures too.  

1967 Better Homes and Gardens Chicken Cookbook The full title of this hardback cookbook from Better Homes and Gardens is Favorite Ways With Chicken, Turkey, Duck and Game Birds. It is in MINT condition and dates to 1967. The beautiful book covers the full range of title subject and has lovely full color pictures. There are 90 pages.  

1965 Favorite Recipes of California Meats I honestly don't know why California meats should be different than anyone elses.. but I do like the 600 recipes in this book. These recipes were submitted by the club leaders in California and they cover the gamut of Meat, Seafood, Poulty and Casseroles. Many sound quite intriguing. Some just sound odd but this 124 page softcover cookbook is a good read and you are bound to get a few good recipes.  

1985 Better Homes and Gardens Favorite Country Cooking This paperback cookbook is in excellent condition and is a wonderful collections of old time favorites. You will find recipes for Maple Divinity, Apple Butter Oatmeal Bars, Spiced Doughnuts, Strawberry Deluxe Ice-Cream Pie and a Syrup Soaked Cake that is out of this world good. There are 24 pages of recipes and some full color illustrations.  

Pillsbury's , Lovin' from the Oven - Baking Favorites This soft cover cookbook dates to 1987 and it is one of my favorites of the smaller cookbooks. It is in full color with plenty of pictures and 48 pages. You will find treats such as Chocolate Truffle cookies and Swedish Tea Cakes.  

1984 Weight Watchers Fast and Fabulous Cookbook This great hardback cookbook is fully illustrated and contains wonderful low calorie meals for those following the Weight Watchers plan. This is even a great book to vary your menu healthfully. There are 370 pages of fabulous recipes.  

Equal Sweetener - Mocktails, Drink Recipe Cookbook I am always amazed at the wide range of cookbooks and cookbooklets out there. This one dates to 1985 and has 20 pages of refreshing nonalcoholic drink recipes from Equal. You will find such delights as Apricot Brandy Flip, Pink Squirrel and Chocolate Amaretto Creme.  

1958 Recipes for You NCO Wives Malmstrom AFB Cookbook This cookbook looks as if it were copied from the original 1958 cookbook put out by the Non-commissioned Officers Wives Club from Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana. The book has a hard cover and is a spiral bound edition with some recipes from all over the US. There are even some old ads which are always fun to read.  

Operational Instructions for Dolly Madison Pacer These old instructions came to me via the inside of a vintage cookbook. And I just knew that someone out there needed these instructions to their DOLLY MADISON PACER ICE CREAM MACHINE by the J.E. Porter Company. This is a one page, both sides instruction sheet with some recipes.  

A Seafood Heritage, From the Plains to the Pacific This paperback book is a great collection of regional seafood dishes. It is a paperback in full color with 29 pages. The book has recipes such as Sole Veronique and stuffed clams and some regional favorites such as Ceviche and Sanddabs.  

Tassajara Cooking, A Vegetarian Cooking Book Even if you are not a confirmed Vegan, it is nice to do some vegetarian dishes for a change of pace. This wonderful softcover cookbook from 1973 stresses natural ingredients. There are 240 pages of nourishing, tasty dishes. There are hand drawn illustrations as well that add to the feeling of the book.  

1978 Wilton Yearbook, Cake Decorating These Wilton Yearbook Cake Decorating Cookbooks are just fabulous. The saying, Everything old is new again, is certainly true here. The large full color softcover book is plumb full of wonderful cakes and all the directions to make them. There is the most adorable pig cake and a Fun at the Fair cake that features families of glass animals on the top. There are Bat and Bar Mitzvah Cakes and a Holy Confirmation Cake that is just lovely. The book has great instructions for making lovely spring flower sprays. There are 193 pages of great cake designs.
