This set like several others I have on the website came from an estate sale here in Montana. I am not a cup and saucer person per se, but I found these cups interesting enough to be added. This cup has a decal floral design and handpainted gold edging. It is not crazed or chipped but does have a slight roughness to the edge of the cup - maybe from use? The saucer which was purchased with it is marked, MADE IN JAPAN, and the cup is marked, MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN - so probably not a couple but a nice match. The cup is not footed and measures 2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches wide. |
