1933 Schilling Spice - Chili Tepines Box
I am always amazed how these cardboard spice boxes from the 1930's survive with the spices inside still! This red and gold box stands 3 5/8ths inches tall. It is clean and in good condition though the top has been masking taped shut at one point and there are still some remnants of that tape. |

Though empty of contents, it would be a neat shelf sitter in a bathroom. The box is the old matchbox style measuring 2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide by 1/2 inch tall. |

This handbook states that its mission is to provide the seller with selling facts and other daily-needed pointers, essential to greatest success in the retail food business. It was written by Alexander Todoroff and published in 1938. There are 64 pages. It is a question and answer book with questions such as, "what are budded walnuts? (larger and better than regular walnuts) " or From what kind of grapes is amber colored grape juice made? (Catawba) or What is evaporated milk? (60% water content removed). It is a very interesting reading book! |
