I am always amazed how these cardboard spice boxes from the 1930's survive with the spices inside still! This red and gold box stands 3 5/8ths inches tall. It is clean and in good condition though the top has been masking taped shut at one point and there are still some remnants of that tape.
This adorable glass and metal candy container comes from the T.H. Stough Co, of Jeannette. PA and measures all of 3 1/2 inches tall. It comes complete with two part metal lid with handle. It is in excellent condition except for a tiny bit of rust on the red collar.
These neat old salt and pepper shaker's from Bill's of Milwaukee stand 3 5/8ths inches high and are complete with their metal punched caps. The shakers are clean and clear with some wear to the label.
I am always amazed at the containers and things that people keep. This cardboard cold tablet box from Grove's Cold tablets is in near mint condition. Though empty of contents, it would be a neat shelf sitter in a bathroom. The box is the old matchbox style measuring 2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide by 1/2 inch tall.
This old metal pencil or pen topper came to me via a box of old kitchen items. It is in great condition and measures 1 1/2 inches tall and 5/8ths inches wide.
This fun plastic bowl is a recent version of the vintage characters, Snap, Crackle and Pop of Rice Krispie Fame. The bowl measures 1 3/4 inches high and 6 1/4 inches in diameter. The pictures do show some significant wear. The back is marked, NEVINS INTERNATIONAL, Made in China.
This great plastic pickle pin is in excellent condition and measures 1 1/4 inches wide. It has a safety pin type back. Other than the HEINZ name, I don't see any markings.
This 3 1/4 inch spice box still contains a goodly amount of its original contents. (at least, that which is not on my desk) It is a foldover box . The box is in nice condition.
This handbook states that its mission is to provide the seller with selling facts and other daily-needed pointers, essential to greatest success in the retail food business. It was written by Alexander Todoroff and published in 1938. There are 64 pages. It is a question and answer book with questions such as, "what are budded walnuts? (larger and better than regular walnuts) " or From what kind of grapes is amber colored grape juice made? (Catawba) or What is evaporated milk? (60% water content removed). It is a very interesting reading book!
Whether you like to collect Good For Token's or you want to use this one, it is quite the conversation piece. The gold colored coin measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter and is in MINT condition. One side says, ARBUCKLE'S TATTOO EMPORIUM, 97 1/2 18TH AVE SW, CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. The other side says, GOOD FOR $10.00 IN TRADE.
This cardboard advertising flyer announces the introduction of Marlboro Medium 100's. It is a foldout and when open measures 10 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inch high. It is clean but a few of the spurs have been creased. It is dated 1992.
This vintage Dresser Drums Tie clasp is in excellent condition . It measures 2 1/4th inches wide and and 3/4 inches high. It is not signed by the maker.
This chromed shovel tie tac is in mint condition with the razorback name on the shaft. It measures 1 5/8ths inches long and comes complete with its clutch back. I don't see any maker's marks.
Dewitt's touts itself as the Road to Health. By using its various pills and salves, you can stop bedwetting, piles, and other kidney ailments. This paperback book also has 200 years of calendars and horoscopes up thru 1976.
This goldtone metal tie clasp is in condition condition with just the hint of metal where on the inside where the teeth of the clasp meet the back of the clasp. It measures 1 7/8ths inches long and is marked, SPEIDEL, Made in the U.S.A.
This vintage money clip came to with a batch of costume jewelry. It is neat though, with the three dimensional Marlboro Man on the front. It measures 2 1/8th inches long by 7/8ths inches tall. It is in okay condition with some very light scratching on the front and some very light wear on the back.
The fact that this packet of information on the 1939 Speed Queen Wringer washer is still in its brown paper envelope says something. This silvertone metal tie clasp is an older tie clasp with the sole of a boot on the front and the name JUSTIN. It is in excellent condition and measures 9 3/8ths inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
This 24 page small paperback booklet was put out by The Pacific Coast Borax Company in 1914 to extoll the virtues of Borax. It has great vintage pictures and even some uses today that might be helpful.
